Xbox 360 NXE Dashboard Update

Tomorrow the New Xbox Experience (NXE) dashboard will be pushed out to quite a few of the online Xbox 360s. This update brings quite a few new features, some of which are listed below.

Netflix Streaming
Party System
Game Installing
Avatars
New Marketplace Interface

There are probably many more, but until I receive the update I am not sure what all else has changed and been improved.

Wired

So we have Comcast cable again, with internet and DVR. Boy have I missed having TV and a DVR, even though I hardly watch TV anymore.

We also have cancelled our land line phone service and DSL completely. It feels kind of strange going wireless for our phone services, so much so that Allyson is a bit mad about it.

What hits her the most is that she has had that phone number since before we were married.

30

Today I turn the big 3-0. I do not completely understand the age/time thing.

I still remember my first day of middle school in Gibraltar at Shumate, first day of middle school in Trenton at Monguagon, first day of high school in Trenton, first day of college at Michigan State, and so many other things that are now 10 years or more ago.

I still feel like I am in my low to mid twenties, although my gut may not look like it as much anymore.

Anyway, thanks to all my friends and family that have called, e-mailed, texted, sent cards, or saw me to wish me a happy birthday!

Microsoft should drop the Xbox 360 Arcade SKU

Xbox 360 Hard DriveXbox 360 Hard DriveWhen the Xbox 360 launched back in 2005 Microsoft released two versions. The first was the Xbox 360 that included a 20 GB hard drive and the other was the Xbox 360 Core that did not include any memory.

More recently there have been three versions. The Core has been replaced with the Arcade (which includes a 256 MB memory card), the Xbox 360 (20 GB hard drive) has been replaced with the Pro (60 GB hard drive), and the Elite (120 GB hard drive).

On November 19, 2008 Microsoft is going to "revolutionize" home electronics with a relaunch of the Xbox 360 system by updating all Xbox Live connected systems with a new user interface. Those not connected to Live will receive the update later through a game disc.

Gas Prices

What a strange world this has become recently. The image in this post was found on the Internet back in 2007, barely two years ago.
